State Level Haryanvi Traditional Folk Song / Ragini Competition

Department of Art and Cultural Affairs, Haryana organizing a “State Level Haryanvi Traditional Folk Song/Ragini Competition”

Rules, Conditions & Eligibility for Participation:

• The participant must be a resident of Haryana.
• The competition is divided into two age categories:
  • First Category – 15 to 25 years
  • Second Category – 25 to 35 years (The applicant must have completed the prescribed age limit by 01-01-2025.
• The applicant must submit a copy of their age proof document (such as Aadhaar card) along with the application form to the department.
• The presentation time limit is fixed at 3 to 5 minutes.
• The presentation must be performed only in folk style.
• To accompany the performance, harmonium, dhol, dholak, sarangi and manjeera will be made available by the department.
• Only Haryana folk song/Ragni performances will be allowed in the competition.
• No travel allowance will be provided by the department for participating in the competition.
• The participants securing the first, second and third positions will be awarded cash prizes and certificates.
• Last date for submitting applications: 30th September 2025
• The date, time and venue of the competition will be informed later.

Interested/Eligible Participants:

Those willing to participate in the competition must send their application by 30th September 2025 with their name, folk song/folk Ragni details (two copies) and their mobile number to the department through e-mail at artandculturalaffairshry@gmail.com or by post.
